Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is a tax-free, non-means-tested benefit to help with extra care or mobility costs for disabled children up to the age of 16 years.
Under 16s: Parents/caregivers can claim for a disabled child under 16 if the child requires significantly more looking after than a child of the same age or has walking difficulties.
DLA is broken down into two components (Care and Mobility).
